Ayurveda, Practised with Scientific Thinking

  • At Ayur‑Vaidya, consultations are unhurried and individualised, looking carefully at what is happening in your body, what is driving it, and how mental and emotional strain may be contributing.
  • Have you tried the conventional routes, but the symptoms keep reappearing?
  • Do you constantly find that you have low energy or would like to improve your immunity and wellbeing?

I'm Kiranjeet Wadhwa, a scientist by training and an Ayurvedic Consultant by practice. My work is for people who value logic, depth and clarity, but recognise that lasting health often needs a wider, more connected approach.

What is Ayurvedic Medicine?

Ayurvedic medicine is one of the oldest systems of healing; many of the principles that you can find in Western medicine such as herbal medicine, naturopathy and polarity therapy can be traced back to Ayurveda.

It is an evidence based science that promotes healthy living through treatment of the individual as a whole as opposed to a very localised part of the body. It is this emphasis on positive action and healthy living which prevents disease and illness and promotes happiness and positive well-being. Click to learn more about Ayurveda.

Unique Features of Ayurveda

  • Treatment of the individual as a whole (symptomatic treatment is alien to this system. Mind, body and soul are treated together)
  • No unpleasant side-effects, just side benefits

  • Each Ayurvedic medicine is a tonic
  • Psychosomatic concept of disease
  • Emphasis on positive health and prevention of disease

  • Emphasis of wholesome diet and drinks
  • Ayurveda is close to nature
  • Importance of individual constitution

(Disorders are always seen on the background of the individual's constitution and the Ayurvedic physician/practitioner examines disease through the patient)
